The 2024 Subaru Outback has nine trims, each with many off-road features. All trims have a symmetrical all-wheel drive for optimal traction in rain, snow, and terrain. The Outback also has up to 9 1/2 inches of ground clearance. The transmission shifts quickly and smoothly. The 2024 Subaru Outback Base trim has many standard features, including a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 182 horsepower and 176 lb.-ft. of torque. The roof rails have integrated crossbars, so they're ready for all your gear. LED fog lights and headlights will light your way along those curving back roads.

               

The Premium trim offers additional off-road driving modes. Water-repellent synthetic leather upholstery is handy when you're stuck in the mud or rain.

               

The Outback Wilderness trim is built for off-roading. It has an upgraded all-wheel drive system, an upgraded roof rack that can handle up to 700 pounds of cargo, a front skid plate to protect the undercarriage, and a lifted suspension for more ground clearance.

               

If you want more power, the Onyx XT, Limited XT, and Touring XT trims all have a 2.4-liter turbo engine that produces 260 horsepower and 277 lb.-ft. of torque.

               

X-MODE® optimizes the all-wheel-drive system, and Hill Descent Control will boost the Outback's stability when going downhill.
